WAC Walks In Independence Day Parade

Calling all WAC players! Wear your jersey and walk with your team and the WAC organization in the Independence Day Parade for City of Waukee. If a parent is interested in pulling a trailer in the parade, please contact wacsoftballpresident@gmail.com.

The fun begins July 4 at 3 p.m. with a parade through the Downtown Triangle. See a full-sized view of the parade route (PDF).

Those who wish to participate in the parade should arrive at 2 p.m. at the Vince Meyer Learning Center located at 400 Locust Street. WAC Board will provide the candy for parade participants to hand out. Coaches and parents are invited to walk with players through the parade route. Parents should meet their player at the end of the parade in the parking lot directly west of Waukee Stadium

IMPORTANT: Parks & Rec staff recommends parade participants park in the parking lot located on the west side of Waukee Stadium and carpool to Vince Meyer Learning Center. At the end of the parade, float/parade vehicle drivers may utilize Park Road to get to the parking lot west of the Waukee Stadium. Park and unload float participants/walkers only in the stadium lot.
